This course supports researchers whilst they write publications. Giving them practical help with structuring and writing papers and also support to find the time and motivation produce a complete first draft.

This is a 2 day course for research staff focusing first on project management and then, on day two , managing people with a particular emphasising managing relationships within a research team in order to get the best out of people and your project.

An Academic in the World was a series of four half-day workshops ran as 2 day events on 22nd March and 23rd April 2010. The idea for the series of workshops arose out of outcomes of a previous White Rose residential event, “Making your Impact in Academia” aimed at research staff in Arts in Social Science.

The course is very practical and is focused on ensuring that students are aware of the issues associated with academic practice and its relationship with academic entrepreneurship.

A training module on public engagement for research students in science and engineering. The aim is to equip students in the Faculties of Science and Engineering with the skills needed to effectively communicate science to the public.

The programme consisted of career journey for a post-doctoral researcher during their fixed term contract..
