The Enterprise School aims to increase the employability of Ph.D. students and research staff by improving their enterprise skills in a highly interactive, group working environment. The school is based around the creation of a business presentation using real cases and the skills they develop during their time at the school including opportunity recognition, finding a market, intellectual property, basic finance and building the key team. The first Enterprise School was attended by 34 students from the Universities of Manchester, Liverpool, Durham and Lancaster

This is a validated award designed to provide Science & Technology research students with the transferable skills - as outlined by the JSS - that will facilitate them undertaking a research degree in their chosen subject.
