Getting started with public engagement (Kate Dack and Helen Jopling, Nicky Boyd and Dee-Ann Johnson)
Workshop outline: Do you want to do public engagement but don't know where or how to start? This workshop will cover the essentials when starting out on public engagement activities. With an easy to use checklist and pro-forma you will have a chance to think about the barriers audiences might have, what kind of activities you might develop, how best to reach your audience, which tools you might use to evaluate the impact as well as all the practical details that can make a real difference to the success of your project.
