This session will cover:
A quick overview of the RAE and the reason it is being changed to REF, then an overview of the current consultation on the REF. We will then explore and discuss the role research staff can play in the assessment. This is a chance for participants to input into the HEFCE consultation and to become part of a group of research staff who will input to a Vitae response to the REF consultation.
Format:
Information, interaction and discussion, collation of recommendations to the consultation.
Outcomes:
- Information on the latest consultation launched by HEFCE on REF
- Immediate recommendations to the consultation
- Recruitment of a group of research staff who will input to a Vitae response to the REF consultation
