Hosted by our university partners, the eight regional Hubs support local higher education institutions (HEIs) through:
- building and facilitating networks of academics, other staff supporting researcher development, employers, and all those with an interest in the vision of the programme
- hosting regional events
- co-ordinating views from the regions to feed into a national policy debate
- facilitating the sharing of information and materials across the region
- working to increase provision, quality and choice for researchers.
Each Hub region has a voluntary co-ordinator plus a dedicated manager based in a host university. The work of the Hub is informed both by the national objectives of the programme and the input of a steering group representing the HEIs in the region.
The eight regional Hubs are as follows:
- East of England Hub (University of Hertfordshire)
- London Hub (King’s College London)
- Midlands Hub (University of Warwick)
- North West Hub (University of Manchester)
- Scotland and Northern Ireland Hub (University of Edinburgh)
- South East Hub (University of Sussex)
- South West and Wales Hub (Cardiff University)
- Yorkshire and North East Hub (University of Leeds)
