This award provides an opportunity to highlight some of the excellent ways in which researchers can develop the research, vocational and entrepreneurial skills that are matched to the demands of their future career paths.
The 2010 Award will be given to the individual, team or institution that has developed the most innovative or exemplary scheme outlining an example of support for the career development of postgraduate researchers and/or research staff. The judges will be particularly interested in support that:
- Is of an innovative, exemplary or collaborative nature
- Has tangible outcomes (for example, what researchers have done as a result)
- Relates to the implementation of the concordat to support the career development of researchers
All candidates must submit an online entry of no more than 500 words by the deadline of 7pm on 7 June 2010.
The Times Higher Education Award 2010 for the Outstanding Support for Early Career Researchers is supported by the Research Councils UK and Vitae.
