Achieving and Retaining the HR Excellence Award 11 March 2011

Event overview

This one-day event, in collaboration with the Scottish Research Career Coordination Forum, will focus both on the attainment and also the retention of the HR Excellence Award.  This UK-wide process, incorporating the QAA Code of Practice for Research Degree Programmes and the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers, enables institutions to gain the European Commission's ‘HR Excellence in Research' badge, thereby acknowledging alignment with the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for their Recruitment.

As well as offering advice and support to HEIs looking to achieve the award, the event will also support those HEIs who have the award and are beginning to think about retention and the evaluation process.

This event will be of interest to those with responsibility for researcher development , perhaps HR or staff development professionals.
