Supporting the development of supervisors and principal investigators16 October 2012

Event overview

Audience: Researcher developers and other staff supporting the development of supervisors and principal investigators

Time: 13:00-16:30 (with a networking lunch provided from 12:15)

The facilitators, experienced in delivering academic development programmes themselves, will design the content of this bespoke workshop according to the topics you would like to be covered. Please provide this information when completing your booking form. Topics covered may include:

  • Developmental needs of supervisors and principal investigators
  • Vitae resources to support supervisors and principal investigators
  • Challenges and solutions in engaging academics with their professional and career development
  • Practicalities of delivering academic development programmes
  • Success stories and top tips

You will be encouraged to share experiences and issues with other researcher developers both throughout the session and after the workshop via a virtual discussion group.
