YNE Hub Trainer & Developers' Forum - Research Ethics and Integrity23 March 2010
Event overview
This event will look at strategies for the design, delivery, and support of training in research ethics and integrity. It is aimed at staff who support researcher development via training and administration.
The areas of research ethics and research integrity can be complex and difficult to address within existing forms of researcher training. This session will offer a chance to think about the reasons that these important areas have come to have the importance that the do. Of particular importance are the ways in which ethics and integrity form a central yet often overlooked element of the professional development of PGRs and research staff, and improving the design of programmes of training aimed at professional development.
Topics will include:
- Better understanding of the governance context of ethics and integrity
- How to design and support effective training in ethics and integrity
- How to improve engagement by researchers with these areas
- How integrity is related to the professional development of researchers
- What effect does integrity have on the impact of research?
Further information will be available on the website in due course.
