Vitae East of England and London hub joint event

17 January 2012 - 9.30 am until 1pm - Woburn Suite, Ground Floor Senate House, University of London

Following the successful ‘Procrastination, overcommitment and perfectionism event' delivered by Hugh Kearns last year, we are delighted to invite him to provide a session for staff supporting the development of researchers which would help them with designing their training.

Hugh Kearns' work has been focusing a lot on the ‘Knowing-Doing Gap'. He will explore this concept with participants and highlight how he integrated that approach in his training on procrastination, self- sabotage and the seven secrets of highly successful PhD.

Join us to increase your knowledge, improve your practice and discuss the following:

  • Why don't we do the things we say we want to do?
  • What gets in the way?
  • Procrastination, perfectionism, worries...what can you do about this?

Share your experience with the presenter and find creative ideas to apply to your own training.
