The Researcher development framework has been created as a tool for planning, promoting and supporting the personal, professional and career development of researchers in higher education. It describes the knowledge, skills, behaviours and personal qualities of researchers and encourages researchers to aspire to excellence through achieving higher levels of development. It will be of value to anyone conducting research in higher education, whether this is their main role or part of a wider remit.

All individuals and organisations with an interest in the personal, professional and career development of researchers are invited to respond to this consultation. This can be through the full consultation or a survey designed for individual researchers to respond directly.

The consultation is open until Friday 11 December 2009

Further information about the framework and the consultation can be found at www.vitae.ac.uk/rdfconsultation
