Event overview
What is the Roberts Agenda now? Impact and sustainability
The Yorkshire and North East Hub will this year be holding its annual workshop at the University of Bradford.
The Roberts Agenda has been in place since 2002 and since its beginnings has made significant changes to the way in which researchers and academic careers are supported. Over time many positive outcomes have been achieved including the boost in funding for researchers. However with a possible change in government looming and the results of the comprehensive spending review there are likely to be changes ahead.
Therefore this one day workshop will be focusing on the impact the Roberts agenda has had and its sustainability going forward. We shall be hearing the perspective from the Research councils UK , from the researchers, from supervisors, Graduate school directors and the trainers and developers within the Higher education sector as to the impact that the Roberts Agenda has had on their specific areas. We shall then be focusing on the direction and sustainability of the Roberts Agenda going forward.
