Resources

Over the next few months we will be developing various resources and supporting documents to assist organisations and individuals with the implementation of the Researcher Development Framework.

Researcher Development Statement

The Researcher Development  Statement (RDS) is a useful document for policy makers and research organisations that provide personal, professional and career development for researchers in higher education.

Comparison of the Researcher Development Statement and the Joint Skills Statement

To aid transition from the Joint Skills Statement (JSS) to using the Researcher Development Statement, the skills and attributes of the JSS have been highlighted against the Researcher Development Statement descriptors and vice versa. The RDS and JSS comparison is available in the downloads module to the right hand side of this page.

RDF downloadable CPD tool

The Researcher Development Framework (RDF) has been incorporated into a downloadable CPD tool to allow researchers to identify the areas in the framework they want to develop further, create an action plan and record evidence of their progress.

RDF researcher profiles

As examples to illustrate how researchers could use the RDF, we have put together a selection of researcher profiles. These are examples from researchers in different disciplines and at different stages of their careers who have used the RDF to reflect on their current development activities and identify areas they wish to develop.  Researcher reflections on their current and target phases have been used to illustrate the profiles.
