Following the pre-award work you will, if funded, enter the post-award stage. Post-award can be defined as the following steps:

1.  Project set-up

2.  Project monitoring

3.  Running the project

4.  Periodic reports and claims

5.  Final report

6.  Project closure

7.  Post project

These steps will be covered in this section from a financial perspective.

In most institutions the central post-award team is distinct from the pre-award team, so even if you have had many interactions with the research office during the pre-award phase you would be advised to meet the post-award team to support the smooth running of the financial aspects of your project.

If you are currently applying for funding, visit the pre-award pages.
