16 May - The British Library
Moodle, Wikis, Facebook, Secondlife, Google, Twitter, Blackboard....Over the last decade, there has been a rise of new technologies and software enabling people to have access to a huge amount of information from different sources on any subject. We also entered an era where everyone can communicate at anytime, wherever they want with someone 1000 miles from them.
What are the implications of the explosion of this digital world on researchers? Why can't HEIs afford to do without it? How can HEIs effectively support the professional and personal development of researchers using the new technologies?
Come and hear from researchers and staff supporting researchers how they managed to make the most of Social Media and E-learning tools to boost the development of their researchers.
This event is aimed at Staff supporting researchers.
