Every Researcher Counts: equality and diversity in researcher careers in HEIs

The Every Researcher Counts project to improve equality and diversity for research staff within the higher education sector is funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) with support from the other higher education funding bodies and is being delivered by Vitae.
HEFCE and the other funding bodies see this project as an important part of their implementation strategy for the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers.
These pages provide information about the project, equality and diversity policy and issues in general and how you can actively get involved.
This project will:
- develop a network of equality and diversity champions
- create resources and case studies for staff developers to embed in training materials for principal investigators and supervisors
- disseminate resources and case studies through national and regional events.
Project outcomes will be:
- increased support for principal investigators in integrating equality and diversity into the management of research staff
- raised awareness of equality and diversity good practice in researcher development.
