Research Information Management: Tools for the Humanities

Research Information Management: Tools for the Humanities is a course for humanities researchers, designed to occupy about half a day. Included are a course book, a set of sample files for use during course exercises, and a slideshow for classroom use (the course book and exercise files can also be used for individual study). Topics covered include: selecting appropriate software tools; organising electronic material; retrieving information; integrating varied material; and when to consider using a database. The course introduces a range of software tools, many of which are available free of charge. These course materials are part of a set of resources created by the Sudamih Project at Oxford University Computing Services.
