Biography:
Peter Stokes left school at 16 to take up a traditional industrial apprenticeship in Coventry. This led to a career in computing including a two-year secondment to Paris. On return at the age of 26 he took A Levels at night school, sold his house, car, furniture and resigned from his job in order to get a higher education. He studied modern languages for love, business administration for sense and his doctorate for both love and sense. He then embarked on a career in academia but never lost touch with the worlds of practitioners, other institutions and agencies. He is looking forward to the next events of life.
