Relevant qualifications:
Personal profile:
Throughout the trainings that I facilitate, both within and outside Save the Children, I have always had a particular interest in how each of us can enhance our performance through integrating our technical and emotional skills, our heart and our head. That can have a particular relevance in the context of work with PhD research students and is part of what attracts me to this kind of work. I hope that, with my varied work background, covering the corporate and NGO sectors, both in the US and UK, I can help research students to understand the full range of skills they can offer, both within and outside a research environment and to enhance these skills through such understanding.
Biography:
Until June 2010, Head of Institutational Donor Development and part of Global Programmes Senior Leadership Team for Save the Children UK. Prior to that, worked within Save the Children UK at senior management level within the marketing department. From 1989 to 1995, worked for Oxfam America based on Boston, USA, running their events, community outreach and campaigns units.
