Testimonial one:
Written by Rebecca West, European Molecular Biology Laboratory 'Frances has been providing training at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory since early 2007. EMBL is a predominantly scientific institution with a world class reputation. Frances took part in the EMBL selection process for trainers and it was quite clear from the start of this process that her professional attitude and natural ability for training made her the ideal candidate to work with scientists, administrators and technical staff. As part of this process she met with a variety of staff members in order to discuss some of the course contents. Once this had taken place she ran a training course of EMBL’s choice and received feedback. All of the participants commented on her enthusiasm, energy and genuine enjoyment of training. They were most impressed with her level of knowledge and the way she explained difficult and complex theories. They were unanimous in their recommendation of her. After her selection Frances started to train at all EMBL locations. She has trained Phd students, Group Leaders, Heads of Service and scientific visitors. All her participants think very highly of her and her reputation as an excellent trainer now proceeds her. All of the post course evaluation forms are exceptionally good. Her attention to detail both in the training room and overall logistics of training is faultless. Frances always ensures that she tailors her course to meet the needs of her audience and deals with conflict in the class room in a very proactive and positive way. Frances is now commissioned by EMBL on a regular basis to run the following courses: Effective Team leader parts 1 and 2 Train the Trainer Selection Interviewing and How to become a successful interviewee Time Management Effective Writing parts 1 and 2 Minute Taking with Confidence Introduction to Organising meetings, events and conferences I can not recommend Frances highly enough.'
