- Biography:
- Dr Chris Moore; Director, Kodak External Alliances - EAME region Chris is focused on the identification of opportunities from venture-backed start-up companies, universities and research institutions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His current interests are quite diverse and include nanomaterials, printing and patterning, digital imaging, human-computer interaction and social networking Chris holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of East Anglia. The early part of his career was focused on materials design and synthesis within Research and Development, with particular emphasis on imaging, printing and display applications. Additionally he spent 4 years working in Kodak Consumer Imaging’s Marketing Department as UK Brand manager for paper, chemistry and photofinishing equipment, and subsequently took on responsibility for retail developing and printing. He then moved to the European region as Growth Manager for retail solutions, looking after the digital equipment portfolio. He was also involved with the identification and development of new growth opportunities for Emerging Markets. Chris has spent one year working in Kodak’s Research Centre in France and another year working for Kodak’s US Research Laboratories. In 2005 Chris moved to Cambridge to set up Kodak’s new Research Centre which opened in early 2006. As Technology Development Manager he interacted strongly with universities and early stage companies, establishing the principles of open innovation in Kodak European Research. In September 2007, Chris transferred to Kodak’s External Alliances Group, to continue the search for new technologies for both the Research and Business organizations. Chris has 20 granted US Patents and a number of publications.
