Designing and Delivering Training: An Introduction
To introduce basic training techniques to colleagues who are involved in researcher development but currently do not deliver training themselves, the SE Hub ran a one-day training course "Designing and Delivering Training : An Introduction", for the second time, in November 2010.
The course was developed on behalf of the Hub by Alison Trinder of the University of Oxford. It was developed in response to a desire by regional institutions to have the potential to decrease their reliance on external trainers and ensure the sustainability of their development activities for researchers. The first of the sessions was held in 2009 and was attended by 10 people (the group is kept deliberately small to allow for personal attention). It attracted excellent feedback and we are delighted that it has led to training being delivered. The second was restricted to the same number of people and was equally as well received.
