Event overview

The international student has become a customer of UK Higher Education demanding a total experience and return on their investment.

There are more than 340,000 non-EU students at UK universities generating more than £1.25bn in fees and a total contribution of around £8.5bn to the economy. Universities are challenged to maintain or increase international student numbers as the cap on domestic students means an increased reliance on international students to maintain essential funding.

However, visa applications, the PBS and the backlog in processing has made it harder for overseas students to apply and start their course on time, meanwhile competition from Europe, the U.S. and Asia is on the rise.

This conference will bring together senior education leaders involved in attracting international students and will examine how to enhance the already world-class higher education experience they receive.
