By public transport

From Cardiff Central Station

Wales Millenium Centre is approximately 2 miles from Cardiff City centre, and there is a regular bus service 1, 2, 6 (Bay Express), 8 & 35 serve Cardiff . Buses are run by Cardiff Bus. Bus Fare £1.50 single fare - you must have the right money!  No change is given on the bus. There are plenty of taxis available outside the station.

Driving

From the West

  1. From the M4, exit Junction 29 (A48). Continue on A48 for approxiamtely 5 miles.
  2. Bear left onto Eastern Avenue North (A4161). Continue for approximately 0.5 miles.
  3. At roundabout take 2nd exit onto Newport Road (A4161).
  4. After approxiamtely 0.25 miles you reach another roundabout, take 2nd exit onto Newport Road (A4161). Continue for approximately 1.5 miles.
  5. Turn left onto Fitzalan Place (A470).
  6. After 0.2 miles bear right onto Adam Street (A470)
  7. Turn left onto Central Link (A4234)
  8. At roundabout take first exit onto A4232
  9. Turn right onto Pierhead street.

From the East

  1. Exit M4 at Junction 33.
  2. At roundabout take 2nd exit onto A4232.
  3. After approximately 10 miles at roundabout take 2nd exit onto A4232.
  4. After 0.25 miles turn right onto Pierhead street.

There are 3 multi-story car parks in Cardiff Bay. Cardiff Waterside, Mermaid Quay and Havannah Street the cost is average of £1.00 an hour.
