Event overview
Be part of the next generation of researchers
In these difficult and challenging times are you still thinking about what career direction to take with your bioscience? Do you want to find out about the range of careers, obvious or not, in which your research training can make an impact? If so, then this conference could be for you...
This annual event is aimed at:
- BBSRC-funded PhD students (final year students receive priority)
- Postdocs and other early-career researchers funded on BBSRC research grants
It provides a forum to discuss different career paths and future funding opportunities with academics, industrialists and senior BBSRC officials.
Programme
- Career planning for academia, industry and BBSRC institutes
- Being entrepreneurial
- Taking career breaks
- Career surgeries for postgraduate and early-career researchers
- Open questions and answers with panel representing a wide range of career paths
As last year, we are encouraging delegates to help shape one of the sessions ahead of the conference. It involves minimal commitment but your input will be invaluable and the experience will help add variety to your CV. If you are interested please check with your supervisor/PI and indicate this when you submit your registration details.
