Salford Postgraduate Annual Research Conference (SPARC)08 June 2011 - 09 June 2011
Event overview
Why attend SPARC?
Each year, the Research and Graduate College organises the Salford Postgraduate Annual Research Conference (SPARC). Participation is free and open to all postgraduate researchers and research staff from all universities, from different subject areas and at any stage of their research. It provides an excellent opportunity to:
-
practice giving conference papers and poster presentations in a friendly environment;
-
present your research to peers and experienced professionals;
-
meet other researchers working on similar areas of research;
-
publish your papers in conference proceedings.
How do I apply to take part?
We are inviting 250 word abstracts for papers, demonstrations, screenings, exhibitions, readings (all 15 minutes) or posters. The closing date for abstracts is 31 March 2011. You can find more information on the conference website: www.pg.salford.ac.uk/sparc11
Publication of papers in conference proceedings
After the event, students have the opportunity to publish their papers and they are given 2-3 months to write up their full paper. Papers for publication will be accepted once they are approved by supervisor(s) and have been submitted in format that follows the guidelines (Word document, Harvard system of textual citation).
