The British Council and the ABG/Intelli'agence are are running a European workshop on 20 and 21 February 2012 in Paris

Speakers from renowned higher education and research institutes and major companies from France, Germany and the UK, will present their activities in this area, highlighting the best examples of career development and skills training both during and after doctoral studies. The one and a half day event will include four thematic sessions:

• Preparing professional perspectives for PhD students: case studies
• Helping early career researchers to be proactive in their career development
• Managing early careers in research: case studies
• Measuring impact and recognition of quality initiatives
