Part-Time Researcher Conference 201223 August 2012
The Vitae Scotland and Northern Ireland Hub, in partnership with Universities across the region, are delighted to announce the 2012 Part-Time Researcher Conference.
This one day conference is the third annual part-time conference run in Scotland and Northern Ireland, with it proving to be popular in previous years amongst researchers; postgraduate students and research staff, staff supporting researcher development, supervisors and research managers. The aim of the conference is to create the opportunity to network with colleagues from diverse research areas and universities; develop professional skills; consider future careers; and receive valuable advice, support and information from service providers at universities across Scotland and Northern Ireland.
This year the conference will be held at the University of Stirling and will include a series of participatory workshops on training and development themes, delivered by specialist HEI staff tailored to part-time researcher needs. With popular workshops running again to allow researchers to attend those they were unable to in previous years, and additional workshops added to give new options and to keep up to date with hot topics.
ALL participants will be part-time researchers; postgraduate and research staff, at universities across Scotland and Northern Ireland. This includes those registered for professional doctorates or distance learning research degrees.
