CRAC is the independent, charitable organisation dedicated to career development and active, career-related learning. Epigeum

Epigeum is a leader in the provision of online research skills training to universities. Each course is made in collaboration with groups of universities, and authored and reviewed by leading experts. Epigeum are based on campus at Imperial College London. Approximately 80 universities and research institutions in the UK, USA, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand have now partnered in course development or licensing with Epigeum.

 

RCUK

The Research Councils UK is the strategic partnership of the UK’s seven Research Councils; they invest annually around £2.7 billion in research, covering the full spectrum of academic disciplines from the medical and biological sciences to astronomy, physics, chemistry and engineering, social sciences, economics, and the arts and humanities. The partnership is supported by a small strategic unit, working with people across the Research Councils to stimulate and encourage cross-Council collaboration. UK HE Europe Unit

The Europe Unit is a sector-wide body which aims to raise awareness of the European issues affecting UK higher education and to coordinate the UK's involvement in European initiatives and debates. Launched in January 2004, the Unit seeks to strengthen the position of the UK higher education sector in debates on the Bologna Process and EU policy. It is jointly funded by Universities UK, the three higher education funding councils of England, Wales and Scotland, GuildHE and the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA). The Unit works closely with the Department for Business Innovation and Skills, the Scottish Government and the Welsh Assembly Government, and cooperates with a large number of UK HE organisations.

 

UK Council for Graduate Education

The Council promotes the interests of graduate education across the disciplines in the United Kingdom's higher education institutions which make up its membership. It carries out surveys, establishes expert working groups on issues of interest and relevance to the postgraduate sector, runs workshops and conferences, and publishes policy documents. The Council also brings together the United Kingdom's Institutions which have active degree programmes and other organisations with an interest in postgraduate education.

The UK Resource Centre for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology

The UK Resource Centre for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology is an innovative centre set up to complement the Government's 10 year investment framework for Science and Innovation. It is the mission of the UKRC to establish a dynamic centre that provides accessible, high quality information and advisory services to industry, academia, professional institutes, education and Research Councils within the SET and built environment professions, whilst supporting women entering and progressing in SET careers. 

 

Universities UK

Universities UK is the major representative body and membership organisation for the higher education sector. It represents the UK's universities and some higher education colleges. Its 133 members are the executive heads of these institutions. Universities UK works closely with policy makers and key education stakeholders to advance the interests of universities and to spread good practice throughout the higher education sector. Founded in 1918 and formerly known as the Committee for Vice-Chancellors and Principals (CVCP), Universities UK celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2008.
