Biography
Thomas Papworth is the Research Concordat Implementation Coordinator. His role is to oversee the implementation and review of the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers. The Coordinator reports to the Concordat Strategy Group (made up of signatories and supporters of the Concordat) and is responsible for delivering their implementation and benchmarking plans.
Thomas has spent ten years working in public policy in research institutes, government and the charitable sector. Between 2000 and 2002 he worked in Sweden at the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, having previously worked at the International Institute for Strategic Studies. After returning to the UK he worked for three years at the Cabinet Office before moving to the National Childminding Association to set up their Research and Policy Unit.
