Managing your research project

A doctorate is a highly complex project that takes place over an extended period. An effective researcher will be good at:

  • setting realistic objectives
  • managing their own time
  • managing the resources, priorities, expectations and outcomes associated with the project itself.

This section will ask you to think about the skills you possess and help you to manage your project more effectively. It also introduces some time and project management tools to help you to achieve this.
