Going global: UKRSA in mission to create an International Research Staff Association
02 March 2012
By Rhiannon Pursall
The UKRSA are excited to be involved in a project to create a global research staff association. This will essentially involve national research staff associations coming together to form an international body. The project is in its infancy, but I wanted to share the concept with the researcher community. Any comment or opinion would be more than welcome.
Here is a summary of the vision:
- Through intercommunication and collaboration on a national scale, we will share ideas and good practice. This will benefit research staff associations on a national, regional and local scale.
- Through strength in numbers, we aim to form an influential body that is consulted on policy and employment issues concerning researchers across the globe.
There will be a session at the UKRSA Project Planning day (13th March, London) dedicated to getting this project up and running...so more information will follow shortly!
