Overview
Vitae will be running one GRADschool in 2013. This will take place in Windermere on 22-25 October and bookings will open later in the year.
Please register your interest to be informed when bookings are open.
UK GRADschools:
- are three day residential courses
- may involve at least half a day of outdoor activities
- are open to all doctoral researchers in the 2nd year and above from any institution, discipline and age range

What else do I need to know?
Researchers who attend Vitae GRADschools enjoy the energy and informal approach of the courses. However they are intensive, and we ask you to consider this when applying.
Who should apply?
GRADschools are open to all doctoral researchers in their 2nd year or above.
Availability
Places are limited and are allocated on a first come, first served basis, so please apply as early as possible. There is no priority given to researchers on last year's waiting list; you will need to reapply.
If you are placed on this year's waiting list you will be offered places as they become available. Where possible waiting list places will be offered to third year researchers ahead of second year researchers.

Data Protection Act
Information provided on the application form may be stored on our computer records for data processing purposes. It will only be used for the purposes of the Vitae Programme. We are registered under the Data Protection Act (1984).
Next Steps
Keep the dates free
Once you have applied and your application is accepted. PLEASE KEEP THESE DATES FREE. Check now that your dates do not clash with a vital conference or seminar. You will receive confirmation of your dates by e-mail. Please keep this in a safe place.
Check your email for additional information
Once you've applied for a UK GRADschool, you'll receive pre event information around 2-3 weeks before the programme, outlining all of the details. Please check your email regularly and if you have not received the pre event information 2 weeks prior to the course please contact us.
Please inform us as soon as possible if you change your email or contact address.
Cancellation/transfer conditions
If you cancel your place the following charges will apply:
- 3+ months prior to the programme - no charge
- 1-3 months prior to the programme - 50% of the fee + VAT
- Less than 1 month prior to the programme - 100% of the fee + VAT
Vitae will accept a replacement for the programme at any time providing the new participant meets the acceptance criteria. Transfers to another programme will only be allowed in exceptional circumstances and are solely at the discretion of Vitae. If a participant transfers to another programme, the original programme invoice remains due, even if the transfer reservation is subsequently cancelled.
