Availablility

When applying for a course, please check its availability first. If a particular GRADschool appears as COURSE FULL next to its dates on the drop-down list, it means that it is currently full and you will automatically be put on the waiting list for that course if you select it. This, however, will not guarantee you a place on any GRADschool.

Important: Please, only apply for a GRADschool marked as COURSE FULL if it is the ONLY course you are interested in.

If you are also interested in another GRADschool, which is still available, please apply for it (select it as your 1st choice) and email courses@vitae.ac.uk to state that your preference is with the full course and we will add your name to the waiting list. If a place becomes available to you we will then transfer your details accordingly. Please DO NOT apply twice.

Costs and grants

If you are an SGM member in the penultimate or final year of a PhD, and not eligible for a place funded by the BBSRC, MRC, EPSRC, RSC or the Wellcome Trust, you may be eligible to apply for a GRADschool grant which covers up to the full cost of course fees for a national GRADschool. Grant applications must be made before registering for a place on a course. More informatioin and application forms are available from the SGM website http://www.sgm.ac.uk/grants

Cancellation/transfer conditions

If you cancel less than four weeks before the GRADschool, and are not able to give an acceptable written explanation, you may be charged £100.
