Writing up when you have moved on
Many people start a new job before they have submitted their thesis. How do you then find the time and motivation to finish your thesis? In effect, you are now a part-time researcher, so peruse the resources we have for part-time researchers. Make sure you keep in touch with your supervisor(s). The main thing is to get your thesis written- you have done most of the hard work, just these last few hurdles before your doctorate!
People tend to find it useful to set aside chunks of time. It is worth taking time off to do the writing. Talk to your employer if they will allow you to have time off and you may well be pleasantly surprised.
