Story overview
I have a much wider mental horizon than I did before I did the PhD. I don't think you can pay too much for that. I don't think you can spend too much time on that. I think the world looks very, very different and I'm sure this depends on what discipline you are in but I live my life with a very large degree of historical awareness, which is a bit weird in IT circles. I have a much more flexible idea of how people can be and how they behave.
