Story overview

Professor Vousden completed her PhD in genetics from the University of London in 1982. Overlapping this was the start of her post-doctoral fellowship at the Institute of Cancer Research, in 1981, with Prof Chris Marshall. In 1985 she moved to the US, researching human papillomaviruses at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Bethesda, Maryland and returned to London in 1987 to continue her work in human papillomaviruses as Assistant Member and Head of Human Papillomavirus Group at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research.
