What are the top things you need to be effective at public engagement?

  • Interactive and fun
  • Good listening skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility
  • Enthusiasm!
  • Motivation - you have to really want to be involved and know why you want to.
  • Planning and practice
  • Always be aware of your audience
  • Know what you are trying to achieve
