Postgraduate researchers

You may have used assistive technology or adapted equipment throughout your previous study. It is quite difficult to keep updated on developments in this field as technology develops quickly. It is advisable to  ask for an assessment of your requirements before you embark on a research degree programme, to identify if your requirements will be different as a postgraduate researcher and what has come on to the market since you started as an undergraduate.

Premia - making research education accessible grew from a HEFCE-funded project based at Newcastle University from 2003 to 2005, with the aim to improve provision for disabled postgraduate researchers, increase the number of disabled researchers at UK institutions and improve the quality of their experience.
