Wellcome Trust science writing competition
19 March 2012
By Blanka Sengerová
Last year I entered the inaugural Wellcome Trust Science writing competition, supported by Guardian and Observer. This appears to be running again this year and might be of interest to some of the contributors to the Research Staff and What's up Doc blogs. This is the information I have received in a recent e-mail:
"As someone who entered last year, I thought you would be excited to hear that we've just launched our Science Writing Prize 2012, in association with the Guardian and the Observer.
Our judging panel this year comprises Liz Bonnin (TV presenter), Robin Ince (comedian), Emily Wilson (the Guardian), Ian Tucker (the Observer), Kevin Moses (Wellcome Trust) and Mark Henderson (Wellcome Trust).
To help you with your entry, we will be publishing a series of blog posts from professional science writers, plus a series of films focusing on different areas of science communication.
The deadline for entries is 25 April 2012."
