Senior Manager and Research Manager (interim)

CRAC: The Career Development Organisation is the leading, independent organisation dedicated to active career-related learning. Based in Cambridge, we created and manage Vitae on behalf of the Research Councils UK (RCUK). Vitae is a £15m programme contract to ensure the UK is a world-class leader in supporting the personal and career development of researchers.

CRAC is recruiting a senior manager to lead our activities for Vitae's HE networks and stakeholders. This is a strategic role and you will have expertise in learning and career development, in-depth knowledge of the research landscape in UK higher education. You will lead and develop our knowledge and research into the impact of career development for researchers.

Interim Research Manager

Salary range: £25-35k pa

This appointment is initially a one year maternity cover

CRAC: The Career Development Organisation is looking for a researcher or research manager ideally with experience in the higher education and/or employment sector.

The successful candidate will have proven primary research experience and experience of managing and commissioning research.  You will have the confidence and capability to manage projects from conception to completion, at times working autonomously but harnessing input from other specialists and stakeholders.

The post will mainly be focused on studies relating to the development, employability and impact of research students and research staff, and in particular the impact of career and personal development support programmes available to them.
