This online event is for professionals in roles managing or leading the development of researchers and research, who would like to broaden their understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) within higher education research. Participants will explore current challenges faced by researchers, such as barriers to gender equity, and how participants would be able to support researchers from a range of different roles. The event will also look at how the researcher development sector itself can enhance inclusion and attract individuals from diverse personal and professional backgrounds in the future.

Using a blend of formats for deeper learning and discussion, the programme has been developed to support the evolving needs of this professional community.

This event aims to help you:

  • navigate the researcher development landscape in terms of the EDI challenges facing the sector in different nations
  • learn from existing practices aimed at enhancing EDI in research
  • understand what you can do personally to add value in your role
  • help make researcher development a more inclusive profession and ensure it is sustainable
