Biography

Batool Almarzouq

Batool is a computational biologist affiliated with the University of Liverpool in the UK and KAIMRC in Saudi Arabia. She has a PhD in Cancer Biology from the University of Liverpool. She is heavily involved with the international R community and part of R-Ladies Global committee, a worldwide organisation to promote gender diversity in the R community. Batool is also a content coordinator for the ISCB Academy and A subject-matter expert (SME) for NASA TOPS Training module. As an advocate for Open Science and its role in improving scientific and economic outputs in the Middle East, she leads the Open Science Community in Saudi Arabia (OSCSA).
