Chris Worth
Biography
Chris Worth
“Chris is a paediatrician working with children with the rare disease, Congenital Hyperinsulinism (CHI). Chris is interested in the use of technology to improve the care of these children and as such is in the final year of his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Manchester. Chris’s research looks at how we can use existing technologies for children with CHI and work collaboratively with patients and families to improve outcomes. His work focuses on alternative ways to leverage data from continuous glucose monitoring devices to better understand behavioural causes for low blood sugars and prevent these from happening.
When not at work, or trying to persuade his children that hill walking in the north of England is great fun, Chris spends his time trying to go up and down muddy hills in the rain as quickly as possible!”
