Academic Development Lead (Research)
Emma is the Academic Development Lead for Research at the University of Strathclyde where she leads on the researcher development opportunities for early career researchers, delivering both Strathclyde's Masters level Researcher Development programme and their Researcher Development CPD activities for research staff.
Before moving away from the bench, Emma worked as a postdoctoral researcher in both the UK and US. She has been Co-Chair of both the UK Research Staff Association (UKRSA) and the College of Life Sciences Postdoc Association at the University of Dundee. Whilst a UKRSA co-chair she implemented a set a regional RSAs across the UK and has recently set up, and supports, an Institutional RSA at the University of Strathclyde.
