Dr Babette Hoogakker

Biography 

Babette Hoogakker (she/her) is UKRI Future Leaders Fellow and associate Professor at Heriot-Watt University.
Her research is in palaeo-oceanography, reconstructing the chemistry (including dissolved oxygen) of past oceans and how these link to past atmospheric CO2 changes. She is deputy-chair for her schools’ Athena Swan SAT group & keen to support early career researchers. She is part of the project team, funded by the FLFL Development Network Plus Fund, that developed the ECR toolkit.
