Saneeya Qureshi

Biography 

Saneeya is responsible for implementing a programme of activities at the University of Liverpool, where every researcher can access high quality development opportunities. She manages partnership working in relation to pan-institutional researcher development initiatives, such as Making an Impact. These ongoing interventions are aimed at cascading effective practice and developing the capabilities of all research staff to meet the University’s strategic focus on excellence via Strategy 2026.

Saneeya oversees the University's activities in relation to the European HR Excellence in Research Award. To support these activities, she convenes the Concordat Steering Group, liaising with stakeholders regarding Liverpool's Early Career Researcher (ECR) development commitment that is delivered through the biennial Concordat Implementation Plan.

She has led The Academy’s establishment of the University’s Research Staff Association (UoL RSA) in partnership with the UKRSA. She sits on the UoL RSA steering committee and the UKRSA national committee. She is also actively engaged with external partners to facilitate the wider context of researcher development provision and communities of practice, such as Vitae and the N8 Research Partnership Post-Doctoral Network.

On a global platform, Saneeya convenes the Emerging Researchers Group for the European Educational Research Association (EERA) and is a member of the EERA Council. She manages a programme of ECR developmental activities, including the EERA Emerging Researchers Conference, held annually in a different European city. She is also an Editorial Board member and a reviewer for a number of international educational journals.
