Biography

Francina is a post-doc researcher in the Department of Psychology at the University of York. Her research explores the development of spoken and written language, in particular skills underlying children’s literacy and maths. Francina completed her PhD and first post-doc at UCL in the Division of Psychology and Language Sciences.

Alongside her research, Francina is a Research Staff Liaison Officer with the Research Excellence and Training Team (RETT) at the University of York. In this role, Francina represents the views of research staff across eight departments within the Sciences faculty and works with the RETT to provide support and development opportunities for all researchers at the University of York.
