Professor Grace Lees-Maffei

Grace Lees-Maffei is Professor of Design History in the School of Creative Arts and Programme Director for the Professional Doctorate in Heritage in the School of Humanities at the University of Hertfordshire. She was Chair of the University’s Researcher Development Group (2014-19). Grace has published articles on the poster session as regenreing for art and design students, and the affordances of anthologies in design history teaching, and her research examines what people say, and write, about design and its histories. Grace is a member of the AHRC Peer Review College and an advisory board member for The Poster, and AIS/Design. She co-edits a book series, Cultural Histories of Design for Bloomsbury Academic with Prof Kjetil Fallan (University of Oslo).
