Biography 

Helen Hampson joined the Learning and Development team in 2022. The team develops, delivers, and evaluates Vitae’s learning and development programmes for researchers in the UK and internationally. Helen has 15 years’ experience as a Researcher Developer. Before joining Vitae, she managed a professional development programme at a large secondary school to develop teachers' research skills, and prior to this gained experience as a Researcher Developer at the University of Sussex over a period of ten years. Helen has also worked in research and development roles at the British Association of Occupational Therapists, and City University.  She holds an MSc in Social Research Methods and is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Helen’s experience has embedded her commitment to the value of researcher development for enabling and enhancing researchers’ careers.
